Copperclad

triangle seaglass pendant half cover in copper.
James River Glass

This series of pieces were inspired by battle of the Ironclads and also grew up beside the Newport News Shipyard. I think riveted metal is amazing and industrial looking. I love incorporating that look in my jewelry. The top left of this pendant was actually sculpted with an epoxy clay to create a uniform shape. I added the half round beads to fake the rivet look.

The necklaces will change in darkness and color due to the “living” nature of this metal. It can always be buffed and cleaned to restore original brightness.
